Experience with group
Starting this assignment, we originally began by informing each other on our different technical capabilities - each member was competent in their own chosen fields and skill areas which related to the task at hand. This process helped streamline the process of researching and compiling the data and allowed us each to focus primarily on our selected area. Each member competently and successfully completed their sections and we're all quite happy with the final results.
Areas of focus:
Tristan - History of CMS, created own CMS and compiled website data.
Ryan - Cultural Implications and How to guide on Tumblr
Enya - Uses within the web and art and How to guide on Wordpress
Keeping in contact
Soon after week 1 we created a Facebook Group for our assessment (image below), in order to keep in connect outside of classes - maximising efficiency.
This allowed to type individual information and share it amongst each other, interacting in real time to resolve issues that arose and require outside opinions.
From this we were able to form a collaborative website using CMS for our group research project assignment, as information was shared easily.
The group created a unique and helpful dynamic, as we were able to share advice and inform others on our whereabouts.
Problems faced
Originally the group consisted of Tristan, Ryan and Grace - but due to unforeseen circumstances in week 4 Grace pulled out of the course and she was not replaced until week 9, this proved challenging but Enya was quick to join in and has been a helpful team member for this research assignment.
